A recognized authority on insurance issues impacting real estate and construction developers, Marc has operated as an outsourced risk management and insurance consultant at FHS for over 20 years. As a prominent lecturer in the industry, Marc has been sought out for his expertise by the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) on critical issues such as New York Labor Law and Terrorism.
Marc advises clients on insurance program designs, contractual review, and risk transfer programs as well as OCIPs, CCIPs, and Environmental and Management Liability. Marc’s expertise in the real estate and construction industries has been an invaluable resource for FHS.
Prior to joining FHS, Michael led a real estate practice group at a global brokerage firm and was responsible for procuring insurance for many of the world’s most prominent real estate, hospitality, and construction firms. As a principal at FHS, he’s now responsible for analyzing risks, evaluating client real estate exposure, and ensuring that insurance representatives implement recommendations correctly and cost-effectively.
Michael holds a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, speaks at real estate and hotel industry conferences, and has been presented with the title of Real Estate Power Broker by Risk & Insurance.
In 2018, Alex joined FHS where he holds a broad spectrum of responsibility, from overseeing a growing portfolio of Real Estate and Construction clients, to managing West Coast Operations. Alex’s knowledge in property and casualty insurance enables him to navigate complex insurance issues. His clients attest to his success in developing multifaceted strategies that mitigate risk, improve coverage and save on premiums. Alex is known for delivering the highest level of client outcomes, whether he is advising on insurance program management, asset acquisitions, or providing broker oversight.
Prior to joining FHS, Alex spent 16 years in the insurance brokerage space with his last position at Willis Towers Watson where he was the West Region Real Estate and Hospitality Practice Leader. At Willis Towers, Alex worked closely with fund managers, REITs, hotel owners & operators, developers, property managers and renowned figures of the construction trades to grow the company’s west coast presence.
Alex holds a BA in International Business and Finance from American University. He has been elected as a Real Estate Power Broker by Risk & Insurance and was presented a ‘40 under 40’ award in 2014.
